INMU Welcomes Representatives from The Rockefeller Foundation

On October 17, 2026, the Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University (INMU), welcomed representatives from The Rockefeller Foundation as part of the AsiaXchange 2026 Bangkok site visit.
The visit showcased INMU’s role as a Centre of Excellence for the Periodic Table of Food Initiative (PTFI), supported by The Rockefeller Foundation, highlighting the Institute’s advanced food composition analysis, laboratory capabilities, and contributions to nutrition research and sustainable food systems.
The visit also highlighted the practical applications of nutrition science through the School Lunch Program at the Foundation for Children, where INMU’s experts use INMUCAL to support menu planning and improve the nutritional quality of meals for children. In addition, participants explored the Nakhon Chai Si Pomelo Community Enterprise to learn how food biodiversity research, local agricultural knowledge, and the PTFI initiative can support sustainable food production, value-added products, and community livelihoods.
The site visit demonstrated how collaboration among research institutions, foundations, and local communities can translate scientific knowledge into practical solutions for better nutrition, healthier communities, and more sustainable food systems.
