On September 17, 2026, the Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University (INMU), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Warangkana Srichamnong, hosted Dr. Christine Wong, Interim Director from the School of Agriculture and Food Science, University College Dublin (UCD), Ireland, for a bilateral discussion on potential areas of academic and research collaboration.
The discussion focused on key strategic areas in food science and nutrition, including functional foods, food processing and nutritional quality, healthy aging, and sustainable food systems. Both institutions also explored various collaborative frameworks, such as joint postgraduate supervision, student and researcher mobility, academic seminars, and professional short courses. Furthermore, INMU and UCD discussed potential pilot activities as next steps to formalize and expand partnerships between UCD’s School of Agriculture and Food Science and INMU.
