INMU Organizes Workshop on Laboratory Emergency Response

               On 27 May 2026, the Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University (INMU), organized a hands-on workshop entitled “Emergency Response to Chemical, Biological, and Radiation Generator Leakage Incidents” to enhance the knowledge and practical skills of laboratory personnel in responding to laboratory emergencies safely and effectively. The workshop was officially opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rungtiwa Wongsagonsup, Assistant Director for Academic Services and Laboratory Standards.

               The training aimed to strengthen preparedness for emergency response and incident containment, while minimizing risks to personnel, property, and the environment. The initiative aligns with Mahidol University’s policies on safety, occupational health, and workplace environment management.

               INMU was honored to welcome Assoc. Prof. Dr. Krisanat Chuamsaamarkkee and Ms. Atitiya Rittinak from the Faculty of Medicine Ramathibodi Hospital, together with Mr. Patthana Iamkrasin and Ms.Patcharin Phraikun from the Center for Occupational Safety, Health and Workplace Environment Management (COSHEM), Mahidol University, as guest speakers. The experts shared their knowledge, practical experience, and best practices to enhance participants’ preparedness and capability in responding effectively to laboratory emergency incidents.
