Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University congratulates Dr. Watcharapol Khoonin, a PhD student in the Nutrition program, on receiving the Best Rapid-fire Oral Presentation Award at the international conference “Nutrition and Healthy Longevity: Bridging Science, Innovations, and Policy in Southeast Asia.” The event was held August 6–7, 2025, at Holiday Inn Atrium Hotel, Singapore, and organized by ILSI Southeast Asia Region.
Dr. Watcharapol presented his research titled “Eicosapentaenoic Acid and Branched-chain Amino Acids Fortified Complete Nutrition Drink Improved Muscle Strength in Older Individuals with Inadequate Protein Intake.” His study focused on developing a fortified nutritional beverage to help improve muscle strength in older adults with low protein consumption.
The research was carried out under the supervision of Assoc.Prof. Dr. Dunyaporn Trachootham, D.D.S., his major advisor.
