Associate Professor Dr. Chalat Santivarangkna, Director of the Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University, presided over the opening of “Policy Seminar on Food and Nutrition Security for Lao Policy and Decision Makers” for Policy and Decision Makers from Lao People’s Democratic Republic. This seminar has been supported by the European Union (EU) so that participants can learn about food security and nutrition planning, strategy planning and Thailand’s working experience for national food and nutrition policy. This seminar has been held between 13 – 15 November 2023 at the Aree Valyasevi Meeting Room, Institute of Nutrition, Salaya.
Today , the Institute of Nutrition honored by Professor Emeritus Dr. Kraisit Tontisirin, Advisor of the Institute of Nutrition gave a lecture on the topic “Global and Thailand strategies on food and nutrition” and Miss Visaratana Therakomen, M.D., Deputy Director of the Bureau of Nutrition, Thailand’s Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) lectured on the topic “Nutrition policies and implementation”.
