INMU Collaborates with Thai FDA and Leading Retail Groups to Promote “Healthier Choice” Food Products

               The Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University (INMU), led by the director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalat Santivarangkna, formalized a Memorandum of Understanding with the Thai Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and a collective of leading retail organizations today at the Thai FDA Office.

               The partnership aims to promote the dissemination and accessibility of food products certified with the “Healthier Choice” nutritional symbol. The core objective is to educate consumers, enhance their understanding of nutrition, and encourage the selection of high-quality, healthier food options.

               This strategic collaboration will drive public awareness campaigns to empower consumers in making informed purchasing decisions that contribute to better personal health. Through this agreement, INMU reaffirms its vital role in providing academic expertise to advance a robust and sustainable food system that promotes public health.
