INMU Researchers Showcase Nutrition Innovations at the 18th Thailand Congress of Nutrition

               Researchers from Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University (INMU) presented their latest work at the 18th Thailand Congress of Nutrition, organized by the Nutrition Association of Thailand under the Patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. Their studies highlighted the essential role of nutrition science in improving public health and promoting sustainable well-being.

  • Ms. Sinee Chotiboriboon – Improving School Nutrition: A Case Study on Healthy Fat Management in Primary School Meals, Nakhon Pathom
  • Dr. Thanit Vinitchagoon – How Working Mothers at Mahidol University Navigate Food Choices Amid Socioeconomic Challenges

Poster Presentations featured research by:

  • Dr. Pattamaporn Joompa – Protective Effects of Crude Extract from Chromochloris Zofingiensis on Oxidative Stress-Induced Retinal Pigment Epithelial Cells
  • Mrs. Pimnapanut Sridonpai – Assessing Agreement between Reported and Actual Cooked Rice Consumption Using Ladle-Based Measurement among Thai Adults
  • Ms. Nattapach Thongkam – Community Food Systems and Health of the Karen (Pwo): A Case Study of Sanephong Village, Kanchanaburi

INMU Congratulates Researchers on Winning Presentation Awards

               Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University, extends its congratulations to our distinguished researchers for their outstanding achievements at the 18th National Nutrition Conference, held on 6–7 October 2025 at BITEC Bangna, Bangkok.

    • Dr. Thanit Vinitchagoon received the Second Prize for Oral Presentation for his research on ‘Lived Experiences of Food Consumption under Socioeconomic Challenges among Working Mothers at Mahidol University.
    • Ms. Chadamas Promkum was honored with the First Prize Poster Presentation Award for her work on “Edible Leaf Albizia lebbeck (L.) Benth. Extracts Protect Against Direct-Acting Mutagenicity by Ames Test and Their Antioxidant Properties.”

INMU Shares Insights on Applying NPS-M for Healthy Thai Menu Design at the 18th Thailand Congress of Nutrition

               On 7 October 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Wantanee Kriengsinyos from Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University (INMU) was invited as a speaker at the 18th Thailand Congress of Nutrition, held from 6–7 October 2025 at BITEC Bangna, Bangkok.

               In her presentation, titled “From Concept to Table: Applying NPS-M to Redesign Thai Cuisine for Better Health,” Dr. Wantanee shared knowledge on how the NPS-M system can be applied to develop Thai dishes that strike a balance between nutritional value and authentic taste. The talk highlighted efforts to elevate Thai cuisine into health-promoting meals without compromising its unique flavors.
