
The Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University, hosted the event “Joyful Songkran: Preserving Thai Traditions,” held on April 11, 2025, at the Aree Valyasevi Meeting Room. The celebration aimed to honor the Thai New Year while preserving cherished customs and strengthening the bonds among INMU staff.
The event was presided over by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalat Santivarangkna, Director of the Institute of Nutrition delivered the welcome speech and extended his New Year’s blessings.
Highlights of the celebration included:
– Souvenir presentations to INMU athletes who earned medals at the Mahidol Games 2025
– Recognition of innovation, with awards presented to winners of the activity “Proposing Ideas for a Novel Health Beverage Not Yet on the Market, for Sale in Pasteurized and UHT”
– A traditional water-pouring ceremony to pay respects to the Buddha image and receive blessings for the year ahead
This memorable event not only celebrated the arrival of the Thai New Year but also reflected the Institute’s strong sense of community and its ongoing commitment to preserving and promoting Thai cultural heritage.
