
The Institute of Nutrition, Mahidol University (INMU), organized a training course on “Food Analysis” from January 30 to February 7, 2025, with two participants from the College of Natural Resources, Royal University of Bhutan: Mr. Ugyen Tenzin and Mr. Sonam Moktan. This course aimed to enhance both theoretical knowledge and practical skills in food nutrient analysis, utilizing advanced techniques such as the Kjeldahl method, HPLC, and ICP-MS to build high-quality food composition databases.
The training provided participants with fundamental and advanced knowledge in analyzing main nutrients, minerals, and vitamins. Hands-on laboratory sessions enabled participants to develop proficiency in using cutting-edge laboratory methods for food analysis.
This training marks a significant step in fostering collaboration between Thailand and Bhutan, promoting the development of food quality control and enhancing global standards in food analysis.
