The Institute of Nutrition and the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital (Golden Jubilee Medical Center), Mahidol University, held a momentous signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement focuses on collaborative research in human food and nutrition, as well as the development of innovative food product prototypes.

               On December 27, 2024, the Institute of Nutrition and the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital (Golden Jubilee Medical Center), Mahidol University, held a momentous signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). This agreement focuses on collaborative research in human food and nutrition, as well as the development of innovative food product prototypes.

               Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chalat Santivarangkna, Director of the Institute of Nutrition, and Prof. Dr. Apichat Asavamongkolkul, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, signed the agreement. The ceremony was further honored by the presence of Assoc. Prof. Dunyaporn Trachootham and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thira Kladaruangkrai, Director of Kanchanabhisek Medical Center, along with administrators and faculty members who witnessed the event at Conference Room 1, Administration Building, 3rd Floor, Siriraj Hospital.

               The MoU aims to
                1) Promote and support human food and nutrition research to facilitate the registration of novel foods, foods for special purposes, health claims, and other certifications.
                2) Foster collaboration in biomarker analysis and food sample evaluation, along with the development of food product prototypes. and
                3) Encourage joint research efforts and academic information exchange to strengthen knowledge in the field.

               This partnership represents a pivotal step toward advancing health-related research in Thailand. It underscores the shared commitment of both institutions to drive innovation and build knowledge aimed at addressing the nation’s health challenges. Together, they aspire to enhance the health and well-being of Thai people, ensuring a better quality of life for all.
