Assoc. Prof. Dr. Warangkana Srichamnong, Deputy Director for International Collaboration and Academic Services from Institute of Nutrition, participated in the 14th Governing Board Meeting of the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Food and Nutrition (RECFON), held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

             On 26-27 September 2024, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Warangkana Srichamnong, Deputy Director for Collaboration Networks and Academic Services from Institute of Nutrition, participated in the 14th Governing Board Meeting of the SEAMEO Regional Centre for Food and Nutrition (RECFON), held in Yogyakarta, Indonesia. This meeting aimed to enhance and foster cooperation in the fields of nutrition and food within the Southeast Asian region, under the SEAMEO framework.

               SEAMEO RECFON is a regional center with a crucial role in researching, developing, and promoting knowledge in the areas of food and nutrition in Southeast Asia. Its main objective is to improve the quality of life of the region’s population through advancing nutrition knowledge and practices.

               During the meeting, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Srichamnong played a key role as a representative from Thailand, engaging in discussions and exchanging ideas with representatives from other SEAMEO member countries.

               Her participation highlights Thailand’s significant role in regional cooperation, particularly in the advancement of food and nutrition initiatives that aim to elevate the quality of life for people throughout Southeast Asia.
